Born in 1974 in West Berlin to a ballerina mother and chemist father, Aram Dikiciyan started his career as a photographer at the age of 22, working on advertisements and magazine editorials. In 2004 he relocated to Tokyo, where he has been based ever since. Dikiciyan’s works have been showcased at exhibitions in Tokyo, Berlin and Hong Kong. His evocative black-and-white portraits, landscapes and abstract works have been described as “… gritty and minimalistic, simple without being condensed, melancholy without being dispirited.”
