Born in 1974 in West Berlin to a ballerina mother and chemist father, Aram Dikiciyan started his career as a photographer at the age of 22, working on advertisements and magazine editorials. In 2004 he relocated to Tokyo, where he has been based ever since.
His evocative black-and-white portraits, landscapes and abstract works have been described as “… gritty and minimalistic, simple without being condensed, melancholy without being dispirited.”
